12/29/12: The first pile collected Saturday morning (29th) before a light snow hit the area on Hammonds Ferry Road between I-695 and I-895. Total for the 3-day effort (29th/30th/1st) was 2,825 pounds! This includes 55 tires (12 tractor trailer tires, 9 truck tires,34 auto tires), 5 spackling compound buckets, lots of lumber pieces (est. 150 lbs), 2 large contractor bags full of bottles & cans (80 lbs), three regular garbage bags of bottles & cans (75 lbs), large cardboard boxes, 4 paint cans, plastic oil jugs, a baby mattress, articles of wet clothing, a pair of boots, 4 cinder blocks, large sheet of plastic wrap, a washing machine top, rusted out containers of formerly toxic substances, three 32-gal trash cans full of bottles & cans, four 5-gal buckets full of bottles & glass, a plastic folding chair, a picnic table bench, a plastic snow saucer, a broken street lamp, a woman's purse, a queen box spring, two wet blankets, the side of a jungle gym climbing ladder (wood), and more (200). Two dumped deer carcasses are here as well.
